The opening of Tigris can be too far away, as the coaster was seen testing with employees and Premier Rides crew this week. No word on if they might quietly soft open the coaster or make everyone wait for an official grand opening, so stay tuned and keep your eyes peeled when visiting the park.
Oh, and based on a photo I saw online, those “comfort†over the shoulder restraint belts were back in place when actual testing took place with the riders.

ThemeParkInsider has posted an article where Dubai Parks & Resorts now mentions that while Six Flags Dubai is not happening for the foreseeable future, they now have plans to expand and all new attractions to their Motiongate and Bollywood theme parks instead in order to increase their own popularity and continue the rise of attendance at these parks. While they don’t say it, we’ve heard that a number of attractions intended for Six Flags Dubai were already under contract with the manufacturers, so we very well could see some of the attractions intended for the fourth gate to find new homes at the existing parks instead.

HUGE news from the Disney Theme Parks hit this week as they announced a complete ban on Smoking (and Vaping) inside all of their American theme parks starting on May 1st. The only place left to smoke from that point on will be in a designated area OUTSIDE the entrance of the various parks.
Also on May 1st the park will begin restrictions on stroller sizes allowed into the parks, with a complete ban on the huge “stroller wagonsâ€, and limiting the maximum size of regular strollers to be no more than 31†wide, and no more than 52†long.
Loose ice and dry ice will also no longer be allowed in the parks, but sealed reusable ice packs are fine. If you have a need for loose ice in the parks, it can be obtained free at any of the various quick-service food locations inside the theme parks, along with complementary cups of ice water.

According to a local news report someone is setting up a new “amusement park†on the site where the last Mircacle Strip park location was in Panama City Beach, FL. It will be called Swampy Jack’s Wongo Adventures and it will feature attractions aimed primarily at the 10 and under crowd. Check out the videobelow to see the site already well under construction with several rides already set up along with props and decor done by local artists. So nice to see amusements returning to the Miracle Strip once again. It will start small, but everything will be pay per attraction and they have plans to grow and add even more as time goes on, including a mini-golf course by next summer.

A reader came across an unexpected webpage while visiting the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom website. It looks like a little bit of test programming was left behind, with the page title being “Landing Page Blurbsâ€, but included in the text blurb for “New for 2019 Featuresâ€, it does confirm V2 being renamed after The Flash.

Oakwood will add two new rides for the 2019 season: Dizzy Disk (sounds like a Zamperla Disk’O) along with the return of the Bounce ride tower ride that was removed in 2016. Look for Dizzy Disk to open this Spring while Bounce will return by the Summer season.

Join Shawn & Danny as we return to Joyland Great Yarmouth to experience the parks awesome classic rides! This wonderful amusement park is located on the sea front and has remained a family business since it first opened in 1949.
Two of the parks main rides are celebrating 70 years in operation during 2019 and in this vlog we talk more about both The Tyrolean Tub Twist and The Super Snails. We head to Pleasurewood Hills located in Lowestoft for the first day of the 2019 season and to ride the new EGG-SPRESS roller coaster! Back in 2016 the park closed it's Zierer family coaster called Rattlesnake, however during early 2019 the park announced that it would be back better than ever and with a new theme for this season!

In this exciting series we'll be following the construction of Tornado Springs, a new area that's opening at Paultons Park in May 2020. Much of the project is still under-wraps, however construction boards around the area reveal that Tornado Springs will feature a new signature roller coaster for the park along with various different flat rides.

Again joined by good friends Tom and Stace we had a great day riding some of the best steel coasters in the UK including Velocity, Mumbo Jumbo and Kumali, the park is also home to a huge amount of other rides and one of the best Zoos in England
In this vlog there are plenty of on ride povs due to being allowed to film on the rides which is a huge bonus for any theme park vlogger, we also check out the area planned for the rumoured 10 looping coaster coming very soon.......fingers crossed

This is our first visit in 2 years, joined by friends Tom and Stace it is great to be back at this legendary park that is home to the world’s 2nd longest coaster......The Ultimate, at a staggering 1.5miles long plus Raptor Attack and many more other awesome rides
Now owned and run by Livingstone Leisure Ltd who also own Flambards in Cornwall, the park has gone through some minor changes, definitely a park worth checking out

We’ve talked about Universal upcoming secret new theme park in Orlando for some time, but we’ve never really gone into detail about what it will be like. After all… for the longest time as soon as I’d heard a rumor about one thing, another rumor would come up claiming something else entirely, so everything seemed very much in flux for the longest time. This is as it should be, considering how much money it costs to build a brand new from-scratch theme park, you know Universal isn’t just going to take the first idea and run with it, they’re going to work all the angles, all the possibilities, try out all the various mixtures of IP that could be used for the possible theming.
While I don’t know if they’ve finalized the design yet myself, this week ThemeParkUniversity has opted to post their own prediction on what the forth park may be like. This includes a strange idea I had not really heard much about which would see the center of the new park with a free-to-enter public hub space that would also serve a similar purpose to Citywalk at the existing resort. From there you would then pass through entry gates into each of the themed-lands, where you would be forced back into the central public space to transition from one land to another.
I’m not sold on this concept, and personally I’d got a hunch it could be axed before the park opens, as it seems like a giant logistical, staffing and security bottleneck just waiting to happen that will cause more problems than give advantages. This also sounds more like a “leftover†idea from one of the original concepts I had first heard about the project before being dropped, where the idea was to build it up with separate lands, where guests would arrive and stay in an on-site hotel and visit each land entirely by itself in the same way guests on a cruise-ship opt for various experiences as they arrive at each port-of-call along the way.
Speaking of hotels… you know there is going to be one, and they claim it will be a large and tall one at the backside of the entire new park, allowing guests to have room views down into the park itself, much like how guests staying in Cabana Bay’s end-towers get an incredible view down into Volcano Bay.
As for the lands… according to their report, the park will open with four and have room for at least two more to add as expansions, which they list as being themed to: Fantastic Beasts, Super Nintendo World, How to Train Your Dragon and Universal Classic Monsters. The first two have been fairly locked in for some time now, as well as the Dragons… though I had heard rumors of other plans that could combine the various Dreamworks Animation properties into one land, or give several Dreamworks Animation properties their own lands… but some of those could be for future expansions. To be honest, I find it odd they would limit their Dreamworks presence to just one film property, especially one that just released its final chapter.
The Universal Classic Monsters is an interesting choice, not because it doesn’t have a place at a Universal park, but more so because the Orlando parks have mostly chosen to ignore this part of Universal’s film history over the years outside of Halloween Horror Nights season. Previous rumors however had indicated they might have been looking at a land themed to the new ‘Dark Universe†reboot versions of the monsters, but since Dark Universe has been on-hold since the last Mummy film failed to find big box-office, I’ve got to wonder if they might be better off putting this on hold for a future expansion when they have more solid studio plans.
Meanwhile of all the other rumors… I can see how they may have opted not to try and go with anything Lord of the Rings/Hobbit related, though I’m surprised we’re not seeing anything more SciFi oriented, like all those rumors of trying to include Star Trek into the park just as the franchise is working itself back from a lull. Still… anything can happen between now and when they choose to announce it, so stay tuned!

CoasterKings hits PortAventura for the opening of the new Sesame Street Street Mission attraction and has posted a quick review and lots of pictures of the attraction area and queue. [COLOR=#1B8EDE !important]Attractions[/COLOR] Magazine has also posted a great video showing off the area as well as footage of the attraction itself which actually looks pretty amazing, mixing real scenery with projection screen scenery and animatronics from Sally Corp., plus trackless dark ride vehicles from ETF Rides outfitted an interactive system (called “cookie collectors†I think) that lets guests compare scores at the end.
