Blackpool Pleasure Beach Icon Construction Update - 17th February 2018

Back in September 2016 Blackpool Pleasure Beach announced that they were going to build a brand new roller coaster manufactured by Mack Rides. In this series of videos we'll be following the build of Icon with numerous updates from the site at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. With the track now complete we return to the park to see the work that has taken place on the ICON construction site since last weekend. In this update we ride on Eddie Stobart and get a close up view of the latest track installation, a new gift shop and both of the launches. We also share footage of the work taking place on site today with numerous workers adding more paint to some of the supports and much more. With the trains also now on site we share an image of the special delivery that took place earlier this week thanks to the St Chads Hotel.Icon will reach heights of 88.5ft with drops of up to 82ft. It will interact 15 times with five other Blackpool Pleasure Beach rides including the iconic Big One, Steeplechase, Big Dipper, Pleasure Beach Express and the Grand Prix.
