Now that Blackpool Pleasure Beach have confirmed that ICON will open on Friday 25th May 2018, we return to the park to check out the latest construction. Since our last visit work has progressed on landscaping the site, along with more details added to both the queue-line and station building. We also take a ride on the Grand Prix, Eddie Stobart and the Pleasure Beach Express for a closer look at the work taking place across the construction site. We were also lucky enough to capture ICON testing on a two train service and in this update we share many different angles of the ride.Back in September 2016 Blackpool Pleasure Beach announced that they were going to build a brand new roller coaster manufactured by Mack Rides. In this series of videos we'll be following the build of Icon with numerous updates from the site at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Icon will reach heights of 88.5ft with drops of up to 82ft. It will interact 15 times with five other Blackpool Pleasure Beach rides including the iconic Big One, Steeplechase, Big Dipper, Pleasure Beach Express and the Grand Prix.
