Just a quick update on the status of Wonder Woman at SFGAdv. According to sources the ride is simply closed after suffering from as motor malfunction. This isn’t the first one of these to have that happen shortly after opening at a Six Flags parks, so I’m guessing this may be some kind of manufacturer issue as I believe a similar issue happened at SFMM on Crazanity.

OrlandoParkStop has posted an interesting article about the proposed Yoshi themed omnimover dark ride expected to go into Super Nintendo World, based on the photos of that model found a bit ago. The interesting thing about this Yoshi ride is that it appears as if it will run both indoor and outdoor, which seems a bit strange given the crazy weather than can happen in Orlando. But they also have a satellite photo of Super Nintendo World in Japan where you can see the same track layout already built at the park there.

Bad news for Tayto Park, as the local planning board has voted against the park’s 2021 coaster plans, claiming that four local residents have complained too much about the current noise levels from the existing attractions. While it is a bit early to say this, if the local government is going to cave in to the complaints of just four residents who live near the park at this point in the young park’s development, it may never be given the chance to grow and succeed as a major attraction if this and other future plans are stifled so harshly.

Universal Orlando has issued a new update on the operational schedule for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. Prior to now, Universal had been opening the ride late every day, which had the unfortunate side effect of the near daily rains that plague the area in the Summer would shut down the ride again in the afternoons. Starting now Universal’s plan is to open Hagrid’s in the morning, and then close it sometime later in the day to allow for the extra needed maintenance.
When planning a visit, be sure to use the Universal Orlando App for the latest real-time updates on Hagrid’s status each day.

Time for a little “Good News / Bad News”. The good news is that Disney has finally announced when the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction is going to open in Galalxy’s Edge. The bad news is… it’s going to open later than you were probably hoping… especially if you are a California based Disney fan.
Contrary to all popular belief, Rise of the Resistance will actually open FIRST in Walt Disney World, set to open on Dec. 5th, 2019. (Happy Birthday Walt Disney!)
Disneyland guests will have to wait about another six weeks, as it wont open in California until January 17, 2020.

Gardaland has announced that they will be adding Europe’s first “Legoland Water Park” in 2020. Thus far the Legoland Water Parks have all been built attached to existing Legoland theme parks in California, Florida and Malaysia. So it is really interesting that the first Lego waterpark in Europe, which is home to more Legoland theme parks that anywhere else, would be built completely separate from the existing parks. Weather may play a key role in this choice however as the UK and Denmark locations aren’t exactly in the warmest of climates when compared to Italy.
As the Gardaland is also owned by the parent company behind the Legoland theme parks, this does present an interesting new growth channel for the LEGO parks brand.

For those wondering, Universal Studios Hollywood has now officially turned the “technical preview” opening of Jurassic World into a confirmed full-scale public opening. So time to get your Jurassic on and head to Universal Studios!
However, with that said, based on watching various videos of riders who have experienced it thus far, I’d say the finale scene may not be running the final “program” yet, with the battle between the Indominus Rex and T-Rex being more of a howling match. From what I’m told the new Indominus figure has limbs and full body ready to step out from behind the bushes to strike… but all we are seeing right now is just the head.

Well we never did hear the results of any kind of investigation into what happened, but it seems that Cedar Point has been able to reopen Valravn to guests this weekend. Word from a guest was that they are only running two trains, with the third one spotted sitting at an off-site maintenance facility.

This has been a horrible season for terrible ride accidents to happen in international markets. According to a video posted by the Daily Star a swinging pendulum ride in India broke in half in mid-swing, dropping the circular gondola side where the riders are seated into the frame of the ride structure itself, before falling to the ground. According to the report from the Daily Star, there were 31 riders aboard when it fell, with three reported dead and 25 others with various injuries.
The nature of the break and ride style involved in the video is remarkably similar to the accident that just took place in late June in Uzbekistan where another pendulum ride (which looks to be from a different manufacturer) suffered a similar failure when the arm broke off in mid-swing.
