Kraken Unleashed is no more at SeaWorld Orlando – the park has officially removed the virtual reality (VR) overlay from their Kraken roller coaster.
“SeaWorld did make that decision to remove the VR element from Kraken in mid-August based on ride experience and guest feedback,” said a spokesperson from SeaWorld Orlando. “We believe that most guests still love the traditional Kraken coaster experience. We are always evaluating new attraction opportunities for SeaWorld but we have no immediate plans to bring VR back to the park.”
VR was introduced to the roller coaster just last year, reintroducing the ride as “Kraken Unleashed.” With this coaster overlay, guests would don fully-integrated VR headsets and experience a deep-sea adventure gone wrong. The opening of the new overlay was also where SeaWorld Orlando debuted their SpotSaver virtual queue service for guests.
How do you feel about VR being removed from Kraken? Let us know in the comments below! To learn more about other roller coaster offerings at SeaWorld Orlando, visit SeaWorld.com/Orlando

Busch Gardens Tampa has confirmed Tigris is coming in Spring 2019, a new Premier Rides SkyRocket II coaster that will also serve as Florida's tallest launch coaster when it opens in 2019. This will be a copy of the same coaster experience that opened previously at Busch Gardens Williamsburg as Tempesto and at SeaWorld San Diego as Electric Eel.
Gwazi RMC Conversion - Rumor - (9/12/18) Serious hints were dropped at the announcement for Tigris to confirm that the park is already working on plans to open a huge new attraction for 2020. In fact... the new attraction may look a bit familiar... yet somehow different... as the hints seem to indicate that they have hired Rocky Mountain Construction to transform the former Gwazi dueling wooden coaster into a new RMC Hybrid coaster creation using their iBox track technology. According to the rumor, SeaWorld Parks made a journey or two out west to Six Flags Magic Mountain and just loved what RMC did with that park's Twisted Colossus and wanted to see what they could do with the former Gwazi coasters.

Disney has confirmed that a new VR experience will be coming to The Void locations at Disneyland and Walt Disney World themed to our favorite video game character... Wreck It Ralph. Yep... you guessed it... "Ralph Breaks VR" is set to launch in Fall 2018 where you will break into the world of "the internet" with Ralph and Vanellope.
If that wasn't enough, The Void also sent out their own tweet moments before confirming not only Wreck It Ralph, but another new VR experience themed around "an undisclosed Marvel movie" would be coming in 2019 as well. Assuming this new experience will tie into a new film release like Ralph Breaks VR does, I'm guessing it will be themed around either Captain Marvel or the untitled 4th Avengers film, or possible to the Spiderman: Far From Home film.

For the first time since the park opened in October of 2011, Legoland Florida Resort will serve locally brewed craft beer in the park’s new quick service restaurant starting Sept. 24. Dragon’s Den will be the first dining location to start offering craft beer. Located outside The Dragon in the Lego Kingdoms area, the Dragon’s Den menu will include smoked turkey legs, honey-battered mini corndogs, and bratwurst sausages.
Beer from Grove Roots Brewing Co., Winter Haven’s first and only craft beer brewery, will be available to guests on multiple taps. The park will also feature a rotating selection of seasonal and special-release beers.
