The latest report at Disney & More claims that the current Disney Illuminations fireworks/projection show on the castle could come to an end sometime in 2019, but the rumored replacement is what is interesting. According to the rumor, Disney may be considering creating a new nighttime spectacular outside of the parks on and over Disney Lake that could combine some of the technology and features used in the World of Color (DCA) and Rivers of Light (AK) shows from the US which feature more fountain, lighting and video projection technology rather than fireworks. Putting it outside the parks however is a bit of a bold move, as the rumor indicates that guests in the area without park tickets may need to pay a fee to get into the seating area to see it, if this really happens.

If you havent been to Disneyland Paris and your a theme park fan you are missing out on a life changer of a theme park, it isnt as good as walt disney world but its a mile better than UK parks, heres the news:
Here we go for a new Disneyland Paris update with, as always pictures shot by Max, D&M contributor and DLP Welcome webmaster. The big renovation in the park right now is Phantom Manor, closed until next October, and this a truly major renovation that was really needed, outside and inside the manor, now hidden behind a wall of scaffoldings.
Of course DLPI will refurb all Audio-Animatronics inside and we can hope that they'll upgrade some special effects too, just like they did in the U.S not so long ago. Of all DLP E-Tickets attraction Phantom Manor is the last one to get a renovation and you may have noticed that all the others E-Ticket attractions not only had a full refurbishment but major changes or additional scenes, whether it is Big Thunder with the new explosive finale, Pirates of Caribbean with the new auction and Barbossa scenes and Jack Sparrow Audio-Animatronic, Space Mountain with the Star Wars update or Star Tours with the 2.0 version of the ride. Will it be the same with Phantom Manor and will they change or add scenes in DLP beloved attraction? Answer next October when the doors of the manor will reopen!
In the meantime a wall of fences not only forbid access to Phantom Manor area, including the cemetery but also to the Riverboat landing which apparently will also get some refurbishment.

In May, June and July of 2017, permits were filed for construction of Project 487 (the codename for Super Nintendo World). The entrances and queues for the Halloween Horror Nights 27’s haunted mazes in KidZone were designed specifically for the Super Nintendo World construction.
To recap, the Super Nintendo World construction was going to include the Mushroom Kingdom as a central hub with a recreation of Princess Peach’s Castle, a Mario Kart AR attraction, a Yoshi unimover experience, various dining spots and shops and a Donkey Kong Tropical Island themed space complete with a Donkey Kong indoor-outdoor coaster.
There has been no activity since the permits were filed. This is unusual and likely indicative that the plan for Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando Resort has changed. Credit where credit is due, the folks over at Theme Park University were the first to pick up on this, as well as publicly state that the Nintendo plans that leaked that included Kirby and The Legend of Zelda were outdated by the time they had been uncovered. That’s right, the permits filed in May, June and July of 2017 did not include Zelda or Kirby.
So what’s the plan for Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando? It’s still being developed, but the intent is rumored to be to transition Super Nintendo World over to Universal Orlando’s rumored third theme park (or fourth, if you include Volcano Bay). A source has disclosed that the Mushroom Kingdom will still serve as the central hub for this third park.
From what I’ve heard, Kirby and Zelda may be reincorporated into the plans, as well as new experiences based on Pokémon. Other potential Nintendo properties include Metroid, Star Fox, Animal Crossing, Pikmin and F-Zero. Moving the project over to Universal Orlando’s third park gives Universal Creative more space for expansion and allows Nintendo to be the anchor for this new park.
This however, doesn’t mean Nintendo couldn’t be placed in Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure. Placing Nintendo attractions in all three major parks would give guests incentive to visit all the parks, as well as allow Universal Creative to construct Super Nintendo World in phases.
The relationship between Universal and Nintendo isn’t in jeopardy. Nintendo is very much still a part of the process with the development of Super Nintendo World. I suspect Universal Pictures and Illumination teaming up with Nintendo to create an animated Super Mario movie was in part thanks to this established dynamic.
For now, the Super Nintendo World project is being reconfigured for Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Hollywood. It won’t match Universal Japan’s Super Nintendo World. Construction has yet to commence in Orlando or Hollywood, but it will. That you can be sure of. It’s only a matter of time.

After recently acquiring DreamWorks Animation, Universal Studios Hollywood is preparing for this summer’s debut of the all-new DreamWorks Theatre presenting the attraction, “Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor’s Quest.”

Created and produced by Universal Creative and DreamWorks Animation, “Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor’s Quest” tells a story of the morning of The Emperor’s Great Feast of Heroes, where dragon warrior Po sets out on a dangerous mission to deliver the precious and rare Liquid of Limitless Power to the Palace. On the way, he enlists the help of the guests as they follow him on his adventure full of raging rapids, magic, river pirates and Kung Fu.

I’m not sure how legit this story will turn out to be, but according to this report Egypt claims to have signed a contract to build a “Disneyland-style amusement park” on a 5080-acre site in the coastal city of Matrouh. No solid timeline was given, other than to say that the project would be complete within 9 to 10 years. That’s a long time for things to go sideways and see cost estimates escalate through the roof, so forgive me if I seem to lack confidence in this project seeing the light of day.
