According to the Universal Orlando Blog, they have completed the update of the projection systems in the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey attraction to an all 4K-HD projection system for increased resolution and clarity that will look more realistic than ever.

While it is too early to tell what is going on at this point, I've been told that Knott's Berry Farm's next BIG project will come to life in 2020. From the sound of things, this could possibly be the park's next big coaster and if so, I'm hearing that it could go somewhere south of GhostTown, near GhostRider.

VRstudios and Dave & Buster’s have teamed up to bring the multi-player virtual reality Jurassic World VR Expedition to location based entertainment centers across America beginning on June 14.
Dave & Buster’s arcades across the country will soon offer Jurassic World VR Expedition, which combines moving seats with virtual reality headsets to send players on a digital dinosaur safari. Four guests at a time spend five minutes zipping around Isla Nublar, competing to rescue as many dinos as possible with a handheld scanner. The experience will cost about $5 per person, per play.
Jurassic World VR Expedition was developed by VRstudios based on their VRcade virtual reality technology, which has previously been used in seasonal VR attractions at Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights and Knott’s Berry Farm. Their newest project brings the dinosaurs of Jurassic World to digital life through their proprietary cloud-based VRcade Attraction Management Platform (AMP), which will connect over 110 Dave & Buster’s locations, making it the world’s largest deployment of commercial multi-player VR.
“We are honored to be a trusted partner to Dave & Buster’s, the leading restaurant/entertainment complexes in North America,” said Kevin Vitale, VRstudios CEO. “Their new attraction is a breakthrough for extending commercial availability of true multi-player virtual reality to locations around the country. AMP enables the seamless integration of technology and content from best-in-class providers including Hewlett-Packard, HTC, Universal Studios and The Virtual Reality Company.”

Join us as we visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach for the first late night riding and fireworks event of the season and we finally experience the brand new Mack Megacoaster.......Icon
Icon is the UK’s first double launched coaster that includes 2 inversions with 2 tunnels and plenty of interaction with other rides around the park and is definitely a top UK coaster
Also in the vlog there is a small Big Blue Hotel room tour, Icon of ride footage and some footage of the fireworks display to end an Iconic day at our favourite UK park

New from TPW
Join me as I return to Cedar Point for a second day of discovering new rides and attractions at this incredible amusement park located in Sandusky, Ohio. In this vlog I ride Steel Vengeance for the first time and share my review with plenty of off ride footage of the coaster in action.
Along with that I discover many other rides in the park including more roller coasters throughout the different sections of Cedar Point that I didn't get to experience on my first day.

According to several reports Disney may be planning on pushing ahead in the next year or so on their next Walt Disney World / DVC combo resort project, which is said to be dubbed internally as "Project 89". The interesting thing is that the new resort site is expected to take over the site of the former River Country water park.
This isn't the first time that Disney has drawn up plans for a new resort for this site, but with the newest DVC resort, Disney's Riviera Resort, under construction and taking over part of the Caribbean Beach Resort site, I wouldn't expect actual construction to begin here until that project is finished up at the end of 2019 at the earliest. It is also my understanding that typically Disney doesn't start work on the next DVC Resort until the previous one has sold out as well. With all that in mind, this one may not be ready to open until 2021/2022, especially as an increased interest in the Star Wars Resort project could possibly slow DVC sales.

The large steel wall frames for the huge new Guardians of the Galaxies ride building are starting to go up and apparently you can get a great look at them as you pass by on the monorail going into Epcot.

Wow! Big news came from Disneyland Paris today as WDI's Tom Fitzgerald announced at an Imagineering panel that as part of the renovation to the park's Phantom Manor, they will be bringing back some of the original narration for the ride recorded by Hollywood horror legend Vincent Price when it reopens this fall. Many MANY years ago I purchased a Haunted Mansion anniversary CD sold at Disneyland, and I'm not sure if they still sell it or not, but it contained the Vincent Price edition of the Phantom Manor as a bonus track. It is as fantastic as you think it would be, I love the idea of it being returned to the attraction in some fashion.
In addition, there will be some extras and enhancements added to the attraction, including one that will apparently solve the mystery of exactly WHO the mysterious Phantom is. Also worth mentioning is that guests can look for a "MagicPass" system to arrive in Paris for limited testing starting this summer ahead of a full roll out in 2019. The MagicPass system will be a card based version the Walt Disney World FastPass+ / MagicBand system, but Paris has no plans to roll out MagicBands themselves and will stick with the card based system only, much like the Disneyland Resort in California.
Speaking of new technology additions, you can also expect to have both Paris theme parks covered by free WiFi network access by mid-2019.

Join us for another bank holiday Monday vlog as we hit up Wicksteed Park located in Kettering Northamptonshire UK
Wicksteed is the 5th oldest theme park in the UK opening way back in 1921, however it is technically the 2nd oldest after Blackgang Chine due to the fact that Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Bottons Pleasure Beach and Dreamland are classed as amusement parks
Wicksteed is home to 3 different sections of the park with rides, 3 coasters, play area for kids, miniature railway, huge grassed areas, lakes and the UK’s oldest Shoot the Chute water ride ! I did say that I was the oldest in the world however after doing some research the oldest is located in America

Jedi, Sith, and Stormtroopers have taken over Legoland California for two weekends starting today through June 10, during the Carlsbad park’s 2018 Lego Star Wars Days celebrations.
Lego Star Wars Days return this year to Legoland California Resort, expanding for the first time with two weekends on June 2-3 and June 9-10, 2018. This year’s festivities are bigger than ever before with activities which include Lego Star Wars Miniland scavenger hunts, family build challenges, Lego Star Wars fan gallery, Droid Hunt with costumed fan groups, costume contests, character meet and greets and more.
Favorite activities taking place in the Lego Star Wars Miniland Model Display – which depicts seven different Lego Star Wars scenes – include a Scavenger Hunt and Droid Hunt, where guests of all ages receive participation badges (while supplies last) and are asked by Imperial personnel “How long have you had these droids?” Guests may answer in exchange for a raffle ticket. One winner each day will receive a Lego Star Wars prize pack and two return tickets to Legoland.
A brand-new Park opening ceremony will kick off the festivities. Guests can meet costumed fan groups throughout Miniland and the entrance to the Park, Lego Darth Vader, plus a brand new meet and greet character: Lego Captain Phasma. Other new activities include a Landspeeder build and the Use the Force Challenge, where competitors are blindfolded and race to build the best creation.
