Is Kraken VR working it's way back to SeaWorld Orlando? It looks that way. According to a new photo tweeted out the other night, the VR headgear pouches have returned to Kraken's trains on rows 3 through 7. Nothing else has returned and the ride is still operating normally, but you can expect the load times to increase significantly once again once the VR gear returns. Just in time for the busy summer season, right?
Sorry guys, I know tons of you dislike what happens when you put VR on a popular coaster like Kraken, but at least the first two rows are being kept VR free this time around. I might suggest that they might want to look into trying a 50/50 split to help speed up the load times. I know when I visited Europa Park last summer, while they kept their Coastiality VR enhancements to the park's less popular coasters, where they could act as an actual enhancement, they would typically only put the VR riders into select rows where special staff would help speed up the loading process for them and keep things running efficiently.

It has been awhile since we've heard anything about the rumor of Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom being replaced by a next-gen version of the Indiana Jones Adventure ride, but our friends at Disney & More take a look into the latest rumors on this topic, including the rumor that AK and DLP may even share the development costs for this project, that would see a clone also built in Paris in the near-future near their own Indy themed coaster. Meanwhile the news may be more urgent for the Florida resort, as the current Indiana Jones stunt show is rumored to be closing down sometime after Star Wars: Galalxy’s Edge opens, which would remove the only Indiana Jones themed area from all of Walt Disney World. So you could imagine that they would want to put him back somewhere else fairly quickly if that happens.
I don't know how accurate this might be, but one possible rumor even blends the two concepts into one attraction, having Indiana Jones encounter a lost world of living Dinosaurs. Hmmmm.... makes me wonder if this could be what the rumored 2024 attraction might be.

According to a few reader reports, Cedar Point closed Steel Vengeance late on Wednesday to begin testing the ride with two-train operations once again all evening. Then early on Thursday morning the park announced on Twitter that Steel Vengeance would be closed all day on Thursday as well. No word yet on if it will reopen on Friday or not, but I'm guessing they had to complete several hundred test cycles with multiple train operations successfully before being allowed to reopen the coaster to run that way with the public onboard. Hopefully they'll give the green light soon and reopen it.

In the latest photo update from Universal Studios Florida posted to OrlandoParkNews, they report that some changing are being made to the queue and lockers at Revenge of the Mummy. Earlier this month I noticed that the old ride Universal Express entrance doors to the left of the main entrance had been closed and walled off for some kind of construction. It turns out they are installing all new guest lockers in here that I suppose will replace the array of lockers outside near the exit of the attraction's gift shop.
It is expected that these new lockers will be the same fingerprint free system that was put to use on the new version of the Incredible Hulk Coaster next door at IOA, where you are asked to scan your park ticket to get the free locker, rather than use a fingerprint. According to the report, Universal may be planning on replacing all the old fingerprint locker systems in the parks with these newer ticket based locker systems one by one. It is also worth mentioning that the lockers at Volcano Bay also don't use fingerprints, but instead use your Tapu-Tapu.

New from Coaster Crazy:
Join us as we check out Dreamland in Margate Kent for the first time this 2018 season and also joined by friends Tom and Stacy
Dreamland has been back open now for a few years and every time we go there is something new to see, Dreamland is going through some major changes with the addition of 9 brand new rides from Zamperla opening later this year one of which is a new Spinning Mouse coaster
Dreamland is also home to the UK’s oldest coaster, The Scenic Railway that opened way back in 1920 but was completely rebuild a few years ago bringing it back to life for many more years to come
I would like to thank the management team for their amazing hospitality in giving me permission to film on the rides and for giving us complimentary wristbands.......no other park has ever done this for us, happy days
