We were invited by Alton Towers Resort to be among the first people to see inside the new Alton Towers Dungeon! In this video we take a construction tour through the dungeon, along with previewing some of the scenes that will form part of the attraction when it opens on Saturday 23rd March 2019.
As this is very much work in progress, there's still many different set pieces and finishing touches to be added to the various scenes throughout The Alton Towers Dungeon. We're joined by the entertainments team at the park along with Merlin Magic Making as they talk about the exciting things that'll be happening throughout the attraction.
We were also lucky enough to preview some of the scenes for the new dungeon along with seeing some of the programming taking place for one of the scenes!

Universal Orlando has finally revealed more details about Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, calling it the “most highly themed, immersive coaster yet”.
“Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will combine a new level of storytelling and innovative coaster technology with rich environments and sets – including an actual forest with more than 1,200 live trees. It will also give guests the unique opportunity to join Hagrid – one of the most beloved characters in the Harry Potter films – on a journey to one of the most mysterious places in the wizarding world – the Forbidden Forest. With Hagrid as their guide, guests will fly deep into the Forbidden Forest and brave the mysteries and thrills beyond the grounds of Hogwarts castle on a groundbreaking coaster experience unlike any other.”
The minimum height to ride the new coaster is 48 inches, so smaller guests who are just a bit too small to tackle the Incredible Hulk will be in luck here. Riders will climb aboard magical motorcycles, riding on either the bike itself or in the sidecar, and race through the Forbidden Forest at speeds up to 50mph, moving both forwards and backwards at times, and encounter some of the Wizarding World’s rarest creatures, including: a Centaur, Cornish Pixies, Fluffy the three-headed dog, and a special new creature that has never been seen in the film series. Plus you’ll have an encounter with the Devil’s Snare along the way.

The latest rumors for Gardaland in 2020 suggest that the park may be looking at adding a separate gates waterpark to entertainment guests visiting the resort area and on-site hotels. One early rumor suggests they may be taking inspiration from Alton Towers waterpark, which could mean that this would be an indoor facility for guests to enjoy year-round.

With the announcement that Star Wars: Galalxy’s Edge is opening in Florida just before the end of August, Walt Disney World proceeded to put their annual price increase into effect now. It is interesting to note that the price of a one-day/one-park “Value” day ticket will remain at $109, but the price of a Regular and Peak days now have some play in them, with the average price of a Regular day being $125, while a visit on an average Peak day will cost you $139, but can cost up to $159. While discounts are available for multi-day ticket prices, if you want to park-hop with those tickets, add in an extra $60 to $80, depending on how many days you purchase. Annual Passes have not increased yet, but it is a safe bet that they will sometime before Galaxy’s Edge opens.

March 18th, 2019, 18:31 Posted By: wraggster
I'm told that Alton Towers has officially removed the VR system from their Galactica coaster for the 2019 season. The excuse is that it was being removed to improve guests requests and satisfaction ratings, but I'm also not surprised either, because the same style system was also removed from Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando a little over a year after it was first installed for similar reasons.
For the time being Galactica, formerly known as Air, will keep the Galactica name and themeing for the season, though what happens beyond 2019 is anyone's guess right now.
Alton Towers has also confirmed that their new on-site horror attraction, “The Alton Towers Dungeon” will open on March 23, 2019. There will be an additional charge to experience this attraction.

Join us as we return to Blackpool Pleasure Beach on the quietest day of the season so far! Due to poor weather conditions, the Pleasure Beach was very quiet and that meant very low queues across the park. In this vlog we experience over 20 different rides across Pleasure Beach including numerous rides on The Big One, ICON and all of the parks wooden roller coasters. We also have our first rides of the season on Infusion, Avalanche and many more Blackpool classics.
As much as the weather was awful throughout the day, we used this to our full advantage and managed to do more rides than we've ever done on a 11am-5pm day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. This vlog features a mix of on and off ride footage from across the park along with plenty of laughs on this very wet day!
