Legoland Windsor will open their new Haunted House Monster Party attraction on April 13th, 2019.
Legoland Windsor has confirmed that they will open the new “The Haunted House Monster Party" attraction in Spring 2019. You’ll join “Lord Vampyre” for a housewarming party at his new home where you can encounter talking gargoyles, statues, banners, balloons and more. Then it is time for the banquet and you’ll be seated at a long table in time for Lord Vampyre to reveal his “magical party trick” that will bring the dining hall to life, flipping the room upside down before your very eyes.
This all seems to confirm our rumor from May, which claimed that the new Haunted House attraction on the way to the park in 2019 would be a Vekoma MadHouse style ride.

Bobbejaanland announced that their new triple-launch coaster from Gerstlauer coming in 2019 will be named Fury, and part of a new themed section of the park to be called Land of Legends that will incorporate three other park attractions. Each the attractions serves as an iconic monument to the four elements of nature, set behind protected gateways to their respective realms within the Land of Legends. Fury represents fire, with the the existing Sledge Hammer to represent Earth, Naiads Waters for water and Typhoon for air.
Fury itself will be build themed represent the destructive force of a fire breathing dragon, complete with a battlefield around a castle structure and battling ‘Fire Knights’ along the way.
According to the official website the story behind the Land of Legends starts with the creation of the Guardian of Elements. “Millions of years ago, on a star in the furthest and most distant corner of our galaxy, a spring emerged from which the purest water bubbled. The water mixed drop by drop with the silver substance with which the star was covered. This created a river that deposited a sticky clay. The clay took many forms. One form seemed a bit more like a person every day. Until finally a man sat beside the river staring lifeless in the distance.
When the star raged past the sun, the hot wind brought everything into turmoil. The shapes on the planet were filled with heat, and in the man's body even blood began to flow. He opened his eyes and looked around. No other form had come to life. The man wandered around lonely. He did not understand why he had been brought to life if that life had no purpose.
Until another miracle happened. A blast on a small planet in the neighborhood caused a bright flash of light that struck the man in the middle of the heart. Instead of dying, the man became bigger and stronger. His interior filled with infinite knowledge and a burning desire. He now knew the purpose of his existence. In him he carried the four elements: earth, water, fire and wind. It was his job to guard them. He was the Guardian of Elements.”

Screamscape sources tell us that Disneyland Paris may have been allocated some new funds to create two major new attractions at the park between 2022 and 2024. While one of the rides is still unknown (maybe the Indiana Jones rumor below?), the other attraction said to be coming would be a clone of the “Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway” attraction opening later this year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida. I can only imagine that Disney execs may be rather high on the new ride concept at this point as unconfirmed rumors of yet another clone of this same ride indicated it would also go to Disneyland in California.
There is lots of time between now and when these projects would get started through… enough time for the plans change entirely, but for now this seems to be the park’s short-term 5-year plan of expansion.

Good news today for Disneyland fans as Space Mountain was cleared and reopenedon Friday after the investigations over the man who forced his way out of a train in mid-ride were completed. No word on what exactly was determined in the reports, we just hope the OSHA or the insurance companies don’t use this as an excuse to put horse-collar style restraints onto Space Mountain as Splash Mountain was forced in adding lap-bars for a similar reason.
(2/1/19) In a classic “What the Hell?!” moment… a 20 year old man climbed aboard Space Mountain at Disneyland on Tuesday and then once the ride was in motion, managed to “use force” and contort himself free of the locked restraints and then climbed out of the train while it was making the slow journey from the station to the top of the coaster. I’m unsure if he climbed out in that one dark corridor between the lifts, or if he simply exited during the lift hill itself, but he managed to do it all and was injured in the process.
According to this report the man, whose identity has been withheld, suffers from “cognitive disabilities”. The Space Mountain staff quickly noticed he had climbed out of the train and E-Stopped the ride, and sent cast members into the attraction to locate him and bring him to escort him to safety. Space Mountain now currently closed while DOSH and Cal-OSHA conduct their investigations before clearing the park to reopen the ride.
